About Us

Pete started out in motorsports as a teenager in motocross with the AMCA climbing fairly quickly into the 125cc expert class, circumstances and funding cut short his racing for a while but he carried on with practice days and the occasional winter series races at Wilden lane and Polsworth.
After hanging up his motocross boots  around 2012 he struggled to be without a bike in the shed and decided to buy a Honda fireblade for the road but after a few short months of road riding  got pretty bored until he and his team mate Martyn decided to do a trackday at Rockingham circuit and that was it, he was hooked .
Riding the blade was exhilarating but there was something missing, having a
ed with a ZX6r, originally built by MSS Kawasaki, the grin factor was ear to ear. The first season of racing kicked off with Hottrax at Cadwell park on April 5th 2015 , it didn't start to well with him crashing in qualifying then a big off in the last race resulting in a broken collarbone which unfortunately put him out for that season .
He was back on the bike in October 2015 and Pete and Martyn decided to team up and race the No Limits endurance series and so doube22two-racing.com was born.
I am a 22-year-old motorcycle enthusiast and motor vehicle technician. I was always in love with motorcycles from a very young age, however back in 2000 I lost my dad to cancer which is when my mum got me into motocross and to be honest this is where my dream took off. I started riding in motocross and then quickly proceeded to endurance within local club events. My main passion has always been for road racing/short-circuit and finally that dream has come true.
2016 was my first race season. I competed in a national level series, The 'No Limits Metzeler New Comer 600 Championship'.  I had a tricky start to the season, missing the first round due to technical issues, however, despite this I went on to win and become the No Limits Metzeler New Comer 600 Champion of 2016.
For 2017 I am moving up a level and competing within the MCE British Superbike Paddock racing in the Pirelli National Superstock 600 class.  I am looking forward to seeing what challenges the 2017 race season will bring.... Watch this space.....!!!!

Martyn started off his love of two wheels on downhill mountain biking and soon moved on to motocross, also competing in the AMCA. Martyn and Pete became great friends through their passion for motocross, bikes and racing. Sadly, Martyns motocross was cut short after a bad accident at bromsgrove resulting in a severely broken leg after the throttle on his KTM stuck open. Surprisingly after nearly a year out he hopped back on a bike and quickly got back up to speed; however bad luck would strike again during an enduro race where Martyn was hit by another bike whilst he was stationary halfway up a hill resulting in another nasty leg break. You would think that would be it but no, not Mart, he got back on a bike as soon as he could, although on the road at this point, until the lure of racing inevitably returned and the rest is history with Pete and Mart forming the double22two racing team.

Double Two Racing is excited to welcome 2017 BSB 600 superstock rider and No Limits 600 newcomers champion 2016, Harry Blades, to the team in our quest for the No Limits 600cc clubman endurance series. After meeting Harry last season we realised how talented a rider he was and after getting to know him we became good friends and asked him if he would consider the opportunity of racing with us in endurance to which he readily agreed. Harry will be joining the team at the UKs first ever 1000km endurance race at Donnington Park aswell as Angelsey (500km) and hopefully the Donnington Park 6 hour race. We would like to wish Harry all the best with his racing in the british superbike paddock in 2017 and we look forward to racing with him as a team mate ourselves.
